  • SEIDMAN CANCER CENTER

"(Security Officer) Mac seems to naturally go above and beyond almost every day... But most noteworthy is the courtesy and concern he displays for so many staff who have disabilities here."

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation and share the acknowledgments of many at University Hospitals, who work at the Customer Service Center on Harvard Rd, regarding one of your Security officers who we only know as “Mac”.

Mac seems to naturally go above and beyond almost every day.  He is personable and pleasant and has a kind word and greeting for all of us.  But being nice is just the smallest of his attributes. On rainy days he is there to open the door. On days when you are carrying too much, he is there to help you in or hold the door.  But most noteworthy is the courtesy and concern he displays for so many staff who have disabilities here.  On more than one occasion I have seen Mac, early in the morning when I arrive at 6am, leaving his desk to open a door for a handicapped employee or walking out to the parking area to offer an arm on a slippery day.  Earlier this week, when we had a few inches of snow and our plows had yet to even touch the parking area I watched Mac, in the four inches of snow, walk all the way out to the car door of a handicapped employee to assist her with getting through the snow.  I have never witnessed this level of concern from any of the other security guards and wanted to share my experiences with you.

We appreciate him and the service and protection he provides us and I this sentiment is shared by many at the UH Customer Service Center.

I hope that this gives you the opportunity to acknowledge his exceptional efforts in some way.

    Thank you.

  • RECOGNITION THEY DESERVE

    'Poise and Professionalism'

    Mr Reeves,

I am a full-time night shift staff employee at the Hospital Emergency Department. I would like to take this time to recognize Mike Goshay and Keenon. Within the past year, I have witnessed their professionalism and kindness not only to employees but more importantly, to patients and family members. This became very apparent during this past 2017 holiday season.

During this time we had a couple of scenarios in which we needed security intervention. I was impressed with Mike and Keenon’s poise and professionalism while handling these situations. At times, we have pediatric patients that come in during night shift and they have been diligent to ensure their safety. They both have also proven their ability to work very well side by side with local law enforcement.

Mike and Keenon are a great addition to our team. Please give them the recognition they deserve.

    Thanks again!

"(Security Officer McLaurin's) actions and professionalism were appreciated by the Greater Columbus Convention Center and all the attendees within our walls."

    Subject: Outstanding work

At 8:15pm on January 13 2017 Willo Security Officer Teresa McLaurin was notified by a OhioCon attendee that here was a young male in our south lobby restroom unconscious lying in his own vomit.  Security Officer McLaurin reacted immediately by calling for  Columbus Police Department and Columbus Fire Department for assistance. She then entered the restroom to provide care and to check on the individual until the police and paramedics arrived. The attendee did regain conscious and was transported to Grant medical center for emergency care. Security Officer McLaurin also worked our Public Safety Staff to control the crowd and provide easy access for the paramedic team and the police. Her actions and professionalism were appreciated by the Greater Columbus Convention Center and all the attendees within our walls.

  • DEALER TIRE

"I have seen a number of security guards over the years and I would put Jerry Adams in the top 1%. He is as professional as they come."

    Dear Mr. Reeves,

I very recently retired from Dealer Tire and more or less ended my final weeks at the Chester location. For many years, Sharon El-Amin and the facilities team reported to me and I have seen a number of security guards over the years and I would put Jerry Adams in the top 1%. He is as professional as they come. Direct, articulate, through, and a true example of what a Security Officer should be. Please recognize him an a meaningful way that let’s him know that his professionalism is appreciated. If there is a way to have him work at the new Dealer Tire headquarters that would be great too.

I regret not knowing of him sooner and I would have requested that he be assigned to Dealer Tire.

    Sincere regards.

She wanted to let me know how impressed she was by the help she received from Clint and Gabe during her time in our office. • RECOGNITION TO YOUR WEEKEND SECURITY PERSONNEL

"I want to give some recognition to your weekend security personnel (Janelle).  She has always been vigilant in her hourly drive around checks and reports to us anything that she sees of concern."

    Ray Disanto ; Jon Howard;

    Subject: ARG Security Checks

    Good morning gentlemen,

First off, I want to give some recognition to your weekend security personnel (Janelle).  She has always been vigilant in her hourly drive around checks and reports to us anything that she sees of concern.  On more than one occasion she has reported potential incidents that we were able to quickly remedy prior to them becoming an issue.

This past weekend, she reported that one of our pumps was leaking crude oil into a drip pan (as designed) but that the drip pans were becoming close to overfilling.  We were able to get an employee to take care of this before it became a spill and an environmental hazard.  This is a great of example of the benefit of the service that you provide for us.

Please share this with your other personnel assigned to our facility.  We certainly want them to keep their eyes open for leaks, releases, property damage, etc during their hourly tours and report them to us.  Janelle even took a pic with her phone and sent to us, making it easy to identify exactly where the issue was and what needed to be done.

Thank you again for the great service that you have been providing for us.

  • ATTENDEES AT THE GREATER COLUMBUS CONVENTION CENTER

"We would like to leave a compliment for the Security Officer who was guarding at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. These Security Officers made the parents feel safe and calm with so many international visitors."

    Subject: Re: in appreciation

We would like to leave a compliment for the Security Officer who was guarding at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

I did not get his name however; he had glasses and was tall and knowledgeable. My husband and I got separated; each of us with a child and this Security Officer went out of his way to assist us. He helped me to locate my husband so that I could speak with him.

My husband was very stressed by then since I was not at the meeting place we decided on and he had to pack-up and check-out from another hotel without me by 11 :00am.

It was a very busy day at the Battelle Grand and this Security Officer helped numerous people. His Co-Worker was also very kind.
They were both very professional and directed people into the area who had their bracelets on and really helped the moms that were trying to bring their daughters to the warm-up areas on time.

These Security Officers made the parents feel safe and calm with so many international visitors.

    Thank you!
